Do you enjoy writing, drawing, or simply dicking around on internet blogs for no money and little exposure? Do you enjoy not traveling and instead sitting in front of your computer complaining about tiny details of things that nobody really cares about?

The site has been around for a little bit over a year and a half now, and due to time commitments and difficulty keeping contributors around for more than a week we’ve never really taken it all that seriously. In fact, there are only two regular writers at this point… and between the two of us we really only cover comic books, old school gaming, and movie/music pretension.

The idea for the website was originally to do a bi-weekly gaming zine with a large cast of writers who all had incredibly different, jaded, and unwavering opinions on their hobby. The gimmick was going to be that we never pretended we weren’t biased or that we weren’t going to let our own personal opinions shine through in our writing. I mean, come on, we aren’t journalists, we are bloggers. People read what we write because it is interesting, witty, and full of expletives. It would be nice if more blogs realized they aren’t legitimate news outlets and are, in fact, a group of people telling dick jokes.

Although that zine idea didn’t work out and we have since expanded on the subject matter of our little website, the idea of the site being opinionated not based on one unifying idea but based on the feelings of each individual contributor has always been the underlying thread and is something that we feel could definitely be interesting if it would just stick.

This is why we have decided to reach out to the intertubes. We aren’t looking for anything ground breaking, and we aren’t trying to pretend we are going to be super original. I’m still going to keep reviewing classic games because I’m too cheap to buy a new system, Jay is going to keep making fun of you for not liking comic book movies, and we are both going to keep hating furries. What we are going to do is try to find more people who want to contribute to a blog but just can’t find one that cares.

What we are looking for is someone who is decent at whatever it is they do. Whether you want to write about video games, music, or politics, or you want to post your artwork or poorly thought out webcomic, or you just want to post pictures of you baking cakes to look like your favorite lolcat, just don’t be horrible at it. Being halfway knowledgeable and having a strong, geeked out opinion will be enough to satiate us. This isn’t to say you have to be pigeonholed by what you tell us you want to do either. If you want to use your space to post your art, but one day decide you want to write an article about how Super Mario changed your life, go for it. We really prefer it that way. The more contributions the better.

I’ve included a list of some specific things we are looking for, but if you have something interesting and geeky that falls outside of the list, tell us anyway. We will make a spot.

It isn’t like anyone have anything better to do anyway.
